Returning to Chaos

Hello silent blog world. I am back! A twelve day vacation then lots to catch up on upon my return at work. But catch-up wasn't the "returning to chaos," that would mean the following situations:

This past week we've had our water main and water heater break. Sound bad? Oh wait, that is not all...then yesterday morning leaving for work, not just my car, but Nick car as well were un-drivable! Insanity I tell you. In-san-i-ty. Go to find out, my ABS sensor went out and needed replaced ($$$). Nick's car on the other hand, well we don't know. It is sitting dead in the parking lot right now.

Shout out to my mama. She saved us! Mom, you helped us more than you think. Thank you for allowing us to drive your car the last few days — we couldn't have dealt with this chaos without you!

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. —Melody Beattie

But, on the positive side of life — Nick has accepted two new counseling positions (one at the same hospital where I work)! With Nick now quite busy, he has surprised me with an early Valentines getaway weekend, this weekend! I cannot wait. We need a break after this chaotic week.

We're going to drink lattes. Finally go see Le Mis! Go out to eat. And finally have the ultimate relaxation at our favorite getaway spot, Hotel Arista.

What do your weekend plans include?

  1. Not what you want to come home to after a vacation! Sorry to hear about the poor luck, but hope that this past weekend's getaway will change the luck to good!
